Launch of Worcestershire’s Care Leaver Covenant Event

The Worcestershire Growth Hub have partnered with Worcestershire County Council and Worcestershire Children First to bring the Care Leaver Covenant to the county.

Come along to this event to engage with other local businesses, understand the care leavers covenant and how your business can pledge its support.

The aim of the Care Leaver Covenant, is to provide additional support for those leaving care; making available a different type of support and expertise from that statutorily provided by local authorities.

The Care Leaver Covenant is a national inclusion programme that supports care leavers aged 16-25 to access the world of employment.

We are looking for the support of Worcestershire employers to help care leavers. Local employers can pledge their support and offer a variety of things to help care leavers.

Pledges can range from as simple as providing work placements, mentoring support through to discounts on products and apprenticeship opportunities.

This is an opportunity to help make a difference to the lives of care leavers and inspire them to be your future workforce.
